Carla Sinatra’s #Doitfor102 Challenge

Carla Sinatra / #Doitfor102 - RVCV Volunteers Unite to Support TCF

Most of you know of my deep involvement with the Tanzanian Children’s Fund. The founders, India and Peter, are the legal guardians of 102 kids who live together at the Rift Valley Children’s Village. The organization also runs two schools, a healthcare clinic, and a micro-finance program striving towards dual goals of creating a permanent home for this extraordinary family and breaking the cycle of poverty for the 10k people living in the surrounding, very rural area. It’s an incredible place that I support wholeheartedly (and visit often).

About Carla Sinatra’s #Doitfor102 Challenge

I’m so excited to be participating in the #Doitfor102 challenge for the @tanzanianchildrensfund. The challenge calls for committing to a daily activity that can be done 102 times, seconds, or minutes each day.

For 14 days, I’ve pledged to spend 102 minutes a day learning to play (and sing) a song on the piano. You all know I love to sing but I’ve never been able to read a note. I also hate to be in front of a camera. This should be fun and humbling.

My goal is to raise $2500 as part of the $250,000 drive. No donation is too small (or too big!).

As I face the music over the next two weeks I’ll send and post images/video of my progress.

Thanks so much for taking the time to consider this. Much like the community around TCF, I am so grateful for the love, encouragement, and support that I can always count on from all of you.

PS - if any of you want to create your own challenge follow the link below. Maybe you’ll join me on my next trip to the village!!
