About this Cause

The Tanzanian Children’s Fund (TCF) is calling on our dedicated volunteers to come together to support their favorite family of 102 kids. As we continue to face the uncertainty of 2020 and fundraising tour cancellations, we are turning to our extended family for support during this critical time. In true TCF style, we have decided to make things fun by hosting a challenge. For 14 days starting September 15th, the #Doitfor102 challenge asks you to commit to an activity you will do every day 102 times, seconds or minutes, all to celebrate the 102 incredible kids that call the Rift Valley Children’s Village (RVCV) home. It’s a personal challenge for each volunteer and a huge group effort to raise $250,000. These funds will help us continue our holistic and multi-pronged approach to solving systemic poverty for our community of 10,000 in our remote corner of Northern Tanzania. If anyone can get us to our goal, it’s our 600+ strong, passionate and creative volunteer alumni with the help of their loving communities.
